Backend Engineer (Django/Python)
About the role
You will work on the infrastructure that processes millions of player retention events daily across 30+ countries. This is not a ticket factory — you own full features end-to-end, from design to production. Our stack is Python-first, our data is real, and the problems are genuinely hard.
Your first 90 days
Day 3: first PR merged. Day 14: full onboarding complete (infra, repos, staging). Day 30: first production feature shipped. Day 60: full ownership of 1 microservice.
What we're looking for
- 3+ years Python/Django in production
- FastAPI, Celery, PostgreSQL, Redis experience
- REST API design and documentation
- Docker basics; Kubernetes is a plus
- Understanding of event-driven architecture
Tech context
Stack: Django 4.2, FastAPI, Celery, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, Claude API. You own features from database schema to deployed endpoint.
